You can create a donor advised scholarship fund in your name or in the honor of another, and designate scholarships for any level of education, from preschool to postgraduate studies.
The Foundation offers two types of scholarship funds – Designated and LCF-Administered.
Donor Advised Designated Scholarship Fund
Create a scholarship fund to be administered through a designated college, university or seminary. For high school scholarship fund options, consult with Foundation staff.
Gift Minimum: $5,000 per educational institution
Guidelines for Donor Advised Designated Scholarship Fund
LCF-Administered Scholarship Fund
Create a customized scholarship fund that is administered by the Foundation.
Gift Minimum: Varies according to complexity, typically $500,000 or more.

A retired Florida resident who wished to provide support to future Lutheran pastors.
His Gift
The Donor created a Donor Advised Designated Scholarship Fund with a gift of cash. Through this charitable fund, annual grants are distributed to Luther Seminary for the purpose of scholarships. The selection of recipients is made at the discretion of Luther Seminary.
