By giving to one or more of the following Field of Interest Funds, you ensure that your gift will be utilized to address community needs and issues of particular interest to you. Grant distributions from these funds are determined at the Foundation's discretion. Fund options include:

  • Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and related organizations
  • Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) and related organizations

The Donors

A Minnesota couple, ages 78 and 79, wanted to increase their income from highly appreciated securities and to benefit charity.

Their Gift

  • They created a gift annuity, and received a charitable deduction and lifetime income.
  • At their death, the remainder of the gift annuity will be combined with gifts of other Foundation donors to support the ministries of the LCMS and related organizations.
  • Grant recipients will be determined based on ongoing dialogue with the LCMS and its related organizations.
