CAMBRIDGE ASSOCIATES BECOMES LCF INVESTMENT ADVISORCAMBRIDGE ASSOCIATES BECOMES LCF INVESTMENT ADVISOR

Effective 2007, the Foundation increased its level of stewardship by retaining a new investment advisor, Cambridge Associates, a leading investment consulting group for nonprofits nationally. This new relationship reflects the Foundation’s current asset base and potential for growth. It also reflects the positioning of the Foundation among a new set of peers in the nonprofit sector, as Cambridge clients include The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, as well as Harvard, Yale and Princeton. The Foundation board and staff are excited to work with Cambridge Associates and believe their capabilities will help the Foundation maintain each donor gift to provide the maximum possible charitable benefit.

Since its inception, the Lutheran Community Foundation has worked with investment advisors and a diverse group of investment managers to bring the highest possible stewardship to the assets it holds. This oversight and increased diversification has brought rewards, and over the past three years, the Foundation has outperformed the Peer Group Benchmarks in investment returns while maintaining a low expense ratio of 0.52%.
