Our most successful endowment fund type fundraiser happened about 5 years ago in central pa when a church wanted to enlighten their congregation as to the ease of charitable giving both now and into the future.
So they invited me to speak as the expert and had a chicken bar-b-q. In addition to the topic they wanted this to be an outreach event and fundraiser for a congregation member who had high medical expenses due to
kidney problems. Well they sold tickets had the event which I presented and they raised 21,000 for the person with high medical expenses and over the next three years created almost 500,000 of endowment gifts to the church.
