$5,000 from a Donor Advised Fund
These funds have been used as part of the $2.9 million raised for the $27.6 million expansion and renovation of the Estes Park Medical Center. It has increased the physical size and condition of the existing facility, providing additional new space for the Family Medical Clinic, Specialty Clinic, two new operating rooms, new private patient rooms, new physical rehabilitation space, new patient account offices, New Life Center for newborns, pharmacy area, new lobby, and new reception areas.
These enhanced and expanded services now serve the entire community population of the Estes Valley. Approximately 25,040 patients are served each year in total visits. Between 25% and 50% are deemed low income
The Estes Park Medical Center Foundation Inc., created in 1986, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to promote and advance the welfare of the Estes Park Medical Center by engaging in fund-raising projects and activities for the purpose of maintaining and improving EPMC. A total of 18 community volunteers serve on the Board of Directors and numerous other citizens provide volunteer services to benefit the organization.
In addition to the special capital campaign that is nearing completion, the Foundation annually purchases special equipment for the Medical Center in the amount of approximately $150,000 per year, items which are not provided for in their annual budget.
