$25,000 from a Donor Advised Fund

This grant was used for the Make a Splash Campaign, and has provided a significant investment in Brandywine Valley's natural resources for future generations through education and conservation efforts.

As part of the Make a Splash Campaign, Red Streams Blue Restoration Projects began last fall. Initial assessments and restoration plans have been developed for impaired streams. Implementation to improve water quality will start in West Chester with Radley Run and Plum Run. More than 300,000 residents of the 330 square mile Brandywine Creek Watershed will benefit from this work.

Over the past six decades, Brandywine Valley Association (BVA) has pioneered innovative programs to improve and protect the water in the Brandywine Valley. As the local leader in watershed conservation and education, BVA offers programs for all ages and conducts environmental studies and projects to promote the restoration, preservation, conservation and enjoyment of our region's natural resources.
