$10,000 from a Donor Advised Fund
This grant was used to purchase bulk food ingredients which were packaged into meals and distributed to individuals in need locally and globally. The meals are given to families and individuals living below the poverty line, both locally and to people in countries where the yearly wage is less than $300. In June Friends & Family Community Connection (FFCC) hosted its 16th food packaging event and packaged over 400,000 meals, of which 300,000 were shipped to Tanzania, Africa.
FFCC's goal is to meet the needs of families and individuals both locally and globally. Through partnerships with community and faith-based organizations, FFCC provides early intervention programs for at-risk and under-privileged families and individuals.
