$20,000 from a Donor Advised Fund
The grant was used to help fund a much-needed full-time veterinarian for the CLAW Johannesburg project, as well as vet drugs, vaccines, and food for the animals in care.
The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) is a private, international non-profit organization committed to improving the welfare of wild and domestic animals throughout the world by reducing commercial exploitation, protecting wildlife habitat, and assisting animals in distress. IFAW seeks to motivate the public to prevent cruelty to animals and to promote animal welfare and conservation policies that advance the well-being of both people and animals. With a mandate to preserve and protect, IFAW advocates worldwide for animals and their habitat, whether one animal or an entire species.
