MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIPMISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP

Nampa, Idaho
$13,500

MAF has been serving evangelical missions and relief and development agencies all over the world for the past 65 years, and exists in very remote and difficult areas. Usually, the airplane is the only practical means of transportation, saving many hours, days, even weeks of travel on foot.

Small, single engine, piston powered airplanes have served MAF for many years, and continue to serve very well. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to get the particular type of fuel that they burn. In some places, if the fuel can be purchased at all it runs $18.00 per gallon. This fuel is getting harder and harder to use, both from the availability and the cost standpoints.

In February, MAF took delivery of their very first Quest Kodiak 100, an airplane developed with mission needs in mind. It can carry almost double the number of passengers or cargo as the Cessna 206 it replaces, from the same size airstrips. It is half again as fast, and very comfortable. And it burns Jet fuel which is much more available and much cheaper than the smaller planes use.

MAF is well known to be an effective agent of positive and lasting change in very remote and isolated parts of the world, and there is a huge need for MAF's expertise. This new aircraft will help MAF to continue to bring Light, Hope and Help to many suffering people.
